SubscriberHii ,
I want to simulate a ring and a membrane with internal pressure. I used symmetry to divide the model in 4 but now I don't know how I should fix the body .
Thank you see photo plsss

SubscriberIn Mechanical, insert a Symmetry folder into your model. Under the Symmetry folder, add a Symmetry region for the X direction and select all the edges of the model cut by the YZ plane. Add a Symmetry region for the Z direction and select all the edges cut by the XY plane. The model has one last DOF that is unconstrained, rigid body motion along the Y direction. Select the vertex on the center rib and apply a Displacement of Y=0.

Subscriberthank you very much .
I have another question. I want to put pressure, should I divide it in 4? or the same like for the whole system ?
thank,you

Subscriberanither question what i found in stress should i multiple it in 2 ? because when i use boiler formula i have a normal stress of 33 but know i found just the half
thank you man :)

SubscriberDon't divide the pressure, it acts on a surface area and you cut the surface area by slicing it away.
The stress is local to the element so you don't divide that either.
I don't know what boiler formula you are talking about.

SubscriberHeey , Thank you very much .
it's Ansys workbench 2022. can you please check my Mesh and the connection ? because i got always a good deformation but with very big stress . the stress in the Ring should be 20 MPa with the formel of Barlow ...
Thanks
