Hi
I hope this topic finds everybody well.
Right now as a part of my Ph.D thesis, I'm trying to solve a simple spray cooling problem to verify my numerical method utilizing DPM in fluent. As the referenced experimental research article suggest, I should define a solid-cone injection to inject water droplets into the air domain that leads to a hot flat wall. Here is my problem: in the article "spray injection pressure" is mentioned as a characteristic of the problem and "particle diameter" is not. But, in Fluent when the software takes injection properties from you, it does not have a value for injection pressure and instead, it asks you about the particle diameters. I assume that I can try "pressure-swirl atomizer" injection type instead but the authors of the article emphasis that the type should be solid-cone. What is the reason for this misunderstanding?
Best Regards.

As I have no idea about the paper it's difficult to comment. There are several injection options for Fluent, and it's common to assume (calculate) droplet diameters for use in the flow field. The pressure atomisers will give a droplet size distribution and were added for automotive applications back in about Fluent 4.Â
