See if Multizone method helps create a hex mesh
Sweep requires one source face to one target face. Source and target should have same topology. That is if source face has 4 edges, target should also have 4 edges. If you have additional splits, the body is not sweepable. Check in wireframe mode and display vertices to see if there are additional splits. Merge selected edges using virtual topology to remove the spilt. (You do not have to use automatic virtual topology)
October 28, 2021 at 2:18 pmpeteroznewmanSubscribergave you good advice. You say you used the repair tools in SpaceClaim, but I just clicked the Split Edges button and found a problem.
In Mechanical, there is a split edge as shown by the Close Vertices button.
Going back to SpaceClaim, I find a sliver face that should be deleted.
After you delete that face, the body is sweepable and will hex mesh.
