Port Refinement, process hf3d error: Too few conductors were found on port1

Upon simulation, I am facing the error Port Refinement, process hf3d error: Too few conductors were found on port port1. There should be one conductor for each terminal with one additional reference conductor. Unintentional contact between conductors may cause this error. How can I resolve this error? I have assigned the copper to the two surfces of the port and assign the port as a lump port. I can seem to know why this error is occuring. Thanks.

      Hi Emmanuel,

Thank you for reaching out to the Ansys learning forum.

This error occurs if both the top and bottom conductor sheets are shorted. Please see if Auto open region is enabled under in the solution type window. If not, as explicit air region should be added as the default material in Ansys HFSS is PEC.

Kindly go through this video lecture on patch antenna simulation in Ansys HFSS for detailed information on how to set up the simulation - Microstrip Patch Antenna Array - ANSYS Innovation Courses.

      Best regards,
      Praneeth.

Thanks alot. I was able to resolve the issue by using appropriate radiationbox with a 50mm absolute off value.
