Is their difference in velocity distribution in porous media and empty pipe. I am doing simulation using physical velocity in porous media. But i can't see the difference in velocity in porous media and without porous media section

What resistance coefficients did you set? Please plot contours of velocity to illustrate the problem.

Using superficial velocity formulation you will only see pressure drop.

I am using physical velocity formulation in cell zone condition but there is no velocity change. i can see only pressure drop. i am using standard initialization. If I am wrong please correct me.

Can you plot path-lines colored by velocity magnitude through the porous zone.

I had plot streamlines for velocity but their is no difference in colour and magnitude

Please post the images, pressure drop and velocity. Also please add any solutions on here rather than keeping them to yourself!

hi..I got the solution. Use physical velocity in fluid dialogue box. And also use only standard initialization if u use habride initialization u will not reach to actual solution

When porous material in thermal equilibrium with fluid. Can we get temperature drop in fluid along the pressure drop????
