Ansys EmployeeHi @manmorcannPly type option provides the information on applicability of failure criteria with a particular ply type. Check this help link.nhttps://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v193/acp_ug/failure_ply_table.htmnFor example: Max stress failure criteria will give you failure value for regular and woven ply type. If you choose any other ply type, it will not show any failure for that ply.nIf you are not sure about ply type, please try to use regular ply type option.nNovember 18, 2020 at 4:00 pmmanmorcan

SubscriberHi Everyone,
I am just starting on ANSYS ACP. Have some basic doubts:
- I have to analyse a composite with epoxy and jute fibre (6 strands) with the total thickness of 10 mm (2mm epoxy between fibre strands) - for this what thickness should i assign to the mesh...secondly while creating fabric in ACP pre which material to select and what should be the thickness...thirdly how to make stackup for this.
- Also i am a bit confused on specifying the thickness of the ply.
Please reply if anyone can help. Also if possible we can connect on teams.

Thanks & Regards,
