SubscriberHi, does anyone know if there is a way to automate saving multiple beam files ? For instance, I have several surfaces and for now I am generating a beamfile for each surface and saving it manually. It is a slow process especially when there are 20 surfaces for which I need the beamprofile. Is there a way to automate this using python ?

Ansys EmployeeHi Nishtha,
Thanks for posting here in the forum.
Pysical Optics Propagation (POP) allows you to save multiple beam files in .ZBF format. In the Display Tab, you can check the options Save Output Beam To and Save Beam At All Surfaces and the individual surface beam files will be stored in the POP folder at \Zemax\POP\BEAMFILES\. The files will be named according to the provided file name, with a suffix indicating the surface number.
