SubscriberI have a simple cross section of an electric motor (Switched Reluctance Motor) and would like to count the phase flux linkage. This calculation is done with a "click" in the FEMM program. Can anyone tell you how to specifically calculate this value in Ansys Maxwell?
Obviously, "phase" is a pair of opposite coils where the current at both poles flows in opposite directions.
The author of FEMM - David Meeker wrote to me that Flux linkage is the integral of A*J over the volume of the coil divided by the current carried in the coil. But maybe there is another way to calculate that quantity?
I attach pictures from FEMM where this value is calculated and my section in ANSYS Maxwell. I will be grateful for your help.

SubscriberThanks for the answer. Of course, I will also use transient, but first I would like to try to do it "manually" in the magnetostatic. The point is, I want to do all the magnetostatics and the transient is automatically generating the entire power supply for me which I don't want. Besides, I want flux linkage as a function of rotation angle.

SubscriberBtw do you know whether there is a way to "extract" flux linkage formula from transient?
