Hi everyone
I have simulated a squirrel cage induction motor in Ansys Maxwell, and the phase current output is reported as shown below. My question is: why does the phase current waveform exhibit distortion during the transient state, while it is accurately simulated in the steady state? Could there be an issue with my simulation? Please help!

Hello Hamid,
The results are correct. The current in transient state depends on the system inductance and resistance. We can observe this kind behaviour in all inductive circuits.
Thank you,
Harinath Vudumula.
