SubscriberI am trying to permanently connect a shell with an irregular shape (made of steel) to another rigid shell in LS-Dyna.
Can someone help me?I have tried different contact types, but did not manage to solve it.
ThanksÂ

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Rigid bodies cannot be included in a constraint-based contact, only tied contacts that are penalty based can be used with rigid bodies.
You could use *CONSTRAINED_EXTRA_NODES_OPTION that will allow you to constrain an edge of a shell (made of metal) to the rigid shell in your model.
Please let me know how it goes.
Thank you,
Alex
