Particle drying_ CFD Particle Drying Model

      Hello Everyone,

I am trying to simulate the particle drying using Fluent and Rocky DEM two way coupling. In DEM there is one module ' CFD Particle Drying Model '. In Fluent setup I have used Eulerian Multiphase model (2 phases air and water vapor [solid phase will be solved by RockyDEM]) with species transport (mixture templete air +vapor). In DEM I have used CFD particle drying model, to which the required moisture conent has been given. The coupling option is chosen as '2 way unresolved'.

But when solving in DEM it is giving me this error:

I am unable to understand the source of this error. How can i fix this error?

      Thank you !!!

      Hello there,

There is a limitation in the drying module + Eulerian Multiphase coupling. This limitation was already addressed and the new version will come out with Ansys 24R1. In the meantime, if possible, can you switch to single-phase coupling with species transport enabled? The mixture template should still be air + water vapor. Also, check the simulation log (rocky_simulation.rocky20.log) for any error messages. It might give you a lead.

Did you check the rocky_simulation.rocky20.log file for any error messages? What appears last?

Can you confirm if the snapshot is before or after you read the error message in the log?
