SubscriberHi everyone,
I’m having a problem with a parametric workflow. I’m working on auxetic structures parametrically, and I need the dimension shown in the first image as a numerical value.
For linear patterning, I save this dimension as a parameter (as shown in the bottom-right). However, after using the Merge Bodies command, this parameter becomes 0,0 as seen in the second image, and it no longer works correctly for other parameters.
Is there another way to track this kind of dimension?
I actually don’t want to control this dimension manually as a parameter. I only need its value — it’s not something I want to edit directly. I want it to update automatically based on other parameters and then drive the linear pattern accordingly.
Any suggestions or alternative approaches would be really appreciated.

Forum ModeratorHi Yusuf,Â
It seems you have you Measure the values and add it as parameter. These are not dimension which will change as they are already grayed out.Â
I think after merge operation, there might be issue with reference selection and thus the values is zero.Â
Please try adding them as Sketch Dimensions instead of measured output and then convert it parameter.ÂLet me know if that helps.
