Objects not colliding

Hi I am having a little trouble trying to get two objects to collide and I do not know why it is not working.

So right now I am trying to make these two objects collide and using nodal forces to find the reaction force of the impact on the surfaces

I have posted previously and I was told to put a displacement on one of the objects rather than force to make them collide. Above is the step change in displacement for the half cylinder object. Each step moves it .2mm, which I think is low enough. I am running 30 steps, and have set the min, max and initial time steps to 0.0333s, and running over 1s

Above is my contact information, with a frictional coefficient of 0.9. I have also tried lower values like 0.5

I am running New-Raph Unsymetrical, and I have large deformations turned on. The material I am using for the two objects is PLA and TPU 95A, with a youngs modulus of 0.88 MPa, ad Poissons of 0.4 (taken from testing and online resources).

These are the errors I keep getting, and everytime I run the objects just keep passing through eachother. Any help as to why it might not be working would be greatly appreciated. I am also wondering if I am doing the right thing still by using displacement rather a force to the cylinder object to determine the force of the system.

      Thanks

      Hi Michael,

Are you doing static or transient analysis? Can you share the image of the analysis settings you are using?

      Thanks,

        Hi Akshay

I am running transient analysis, from looking at old forum posts. Here is my analysis settings

        Thanks

        Michael

      Hi,

As per the displacement load table, it looks like it moves by 0.267 m in 0.033 seconds. Can you check the units? As gap is very small compared to the distance it is moving, it is not detecting the contact.

      Thanks,
