Forum ModeratorMAPDL Solver can only use physical cores on your machine, it can not use logical processors that you see in task manager. I would recommend turning virtualization off and using about 14 cores on this machine, leaving a couple of cores for system-related processes.

SubscriberThanks, I will pass that along. Would you be able to clarify what our license includes in regards to HPC?

Forum ModeratorAssuming you are using the research license, it supports 16 cores (12 fixed + 4 floating HPC). From our internal database, I see that you have 25 tasks for Mechanical and CFD and 25 for Electronics products, each task has 12 fixed and 4 floating HPC licenses. So you have 4*25*2=200 floating HPC cores available. Given that you have a sufficiently powerful machine with 212 or more physical cores, you should be able to use 200 floating HPC licenses and 12 fixed ones for that task. Provided all tasks are on a single server.
