Not enough disck space

Hi, How can I overcome the error of not enough disck space in ansys workbench. I am applying a cyclic load (1000, - 2000, 3000, - 4000, ...etc). I used 14 number of step. When I solve the model I get the error in the fourth step when the load reach the - 4000 N. I wouls like to ask you how can I let the programme complete the solution of the rest of steps?. Is restart control option can help me?. If yes. How can I do that?

Best way to overcome insufficient disk space is to install a large additional disk. Storage is relatively inexpensive.  If this is not an option, clean off the HDD. Are you on the C: drive or a second disk drive?

What kind of analysis is this?  Static Structural or Transient Structural?  A Static Structural model will use less disk space than a Transient model.

How many nodes/element are in the mesh?  You could reduce the number of nodes/elements.

If this is a Transient Structural, how many substeps are there within each load step?  On the Output Controls, you can reduce the frequency that it outputs data. Specified Recurrence Rate of 2 cuts the output by a factor of 2.

You mean I have to used external disk drive? The analysis is doing on C: drive, but even I add the space of D: drive the solution will stop because I have 14 steps and the analysis stopped at step number 4. the total drive space is 700 GB, and I have more than 400 GB in C: drive.

I am doing a static structural analysis.

I have more than 66000 nodes in the model. I tried to reduce the number of nodes but the accuracy of the results reduced when I compared to experimental.

Do you need Strain results? If not, under Analysis Settings, in the Output Controls category, change Strain to No. That will reduce the file size of the results.
