Non Reflecting Boundary Condition at Pressure Outlet

Currently, I am conducting pressure based transient incompressible fluid flow in viscoelastic tube in ANSYS fluent and I would like to create an absorbing boundary condition in the outlet of the tube.

ANSYS Fluent already include non-reflecting outlet boundary conditions (NRBC) but only applies for ideal gas (compressible) flow.

With Pressure Far Field BC, it is available only when density is calculated using ideal gas law.

With Outflow BC, it cannot be used for unsteady flow with variable density.

The study is couple analysis between transient structural and fluid flow (Fluent). I applied velocity sine wave at the inlet of the tube. and I found an option that shows Prevent Reverse Flow .

      Thank you for the information.
In the explanation, Fluent will print a message in the console window indicating the number of faces on which artificial walls have been erected and the equivalent area percentage of the boundary it represents.and I am running couple analysis between transient structural and fluid flow (Fluent). So, I cannot see the console that indicating faces. May I know how can I check that when I running couple analysis?

I think you will need to write transcript in fluent using File - write - transcript. This will be .trn file.

      Hi Sanda

I am interested in exactly what was in 47.7.17. Pressure Outlet Dialog Box (ansys.com) that related to this. I am not able to access this link as its behind the customer portal.  i dont seem to be able to find it in the ansys help files either.
