New Geometry causing CFX mesher to crash

      Hello

I am using ANSYS 2023 R2. I have an original solid model representing the fluid path around a rotor. This original model meshes perfectly. I then replace the geometry with the same rotor but with a slightly different hub profile. When I do this, a diagnostic file is written. After I close the diagnostic file prompt, the mesher crashes. I cannot view the diagnostic file as it scrambled. A warning is prompted in the background but I cannot fully read the message before the mesher crashes. What would be causing the mesh software to crash, not allowing me to inspect the issue?

      Hi Jett,

Since you replaced the original geometry with a new one, assigning a new mesh cell to it would be the solution to this.

When you changed the geometry the original mesh parameters aren't scoped properly to this new geometry which is causing the error. If it was a slight modification to the original geometry this wouldn't have happened, but since you completely replaced it with a new one, scoping errors can be usual.
