SubscriberAll,
PADT’s Matt Sutton has just released our first version of an ACT Extension that converts any Mechanical results objects on a solid part to a 3MF file, allowing you to put your result contours on your parts.
Read more, including how the algorithm works, in our blog post:
https://www.padtinc.com/blog/3d-printing-ansys-mechanical-results/
Or download it for free from the Ansys Store.
Most color 3D Printers support the 3MF file, so it should work and we know it works with Stratasys PolyJet systems.
We are going to let it simmer for a while with users then work on some added features.
Thanks!
Eric
