SubscriberHello,
I am doing flow through an orifice in pipe simulations. Pressure outlet boundary condition is given at the pipe outlet and velocity inlet boundary condition is given at the pipe inlet.Â
After plotting the contours of absolute pressure distribution, I observed negative absolute pressure. Though mass balance is pretty good.Â
Is there any reason for negative absolute pressure values?

SubscriberYou probably set your reference pressure at 0 ? -

Ansys EmployeeMight be numercial or for an incompressible materials a symptom of cavitation. Check if the absolute pressure is still above 0. -

AdministratorHello
Please share some screenshots of your contours as well as residuals plots. Is this a high-speed flow? Are you modeling this as imcompressible?
Thanks.
