nCode DesignLife Fatigue Analysis Result (Node)

  Hi,
  Why does nCode show us fatigue life or damage result as node? I know we can choose as element result but why node is chosen first by program.
  What is the importance of the node in fatigue analysis?

  Most FE codes report nodal stresses as the fundamental stress result. You might be able to obtain the element centroidal stress, but it is not commonly used for design decisions. Thus, DesignLife uses nodal stress to calculate the fatigue damage.
