Multiple independent fluid domains in Ansys Fluent

      Hi,

I'm trying to set up a 2D Conjugate Heat Transfer simulation with 3 independent fluid domains, see below.

It can. Did you label each fluid zone (volume or face) as "fluid-whatever" ? If not can you check the cell zone definitions as you may have solids.

Hi Rob thanks for picking this up!
This is how my cell zone conditions look when I import the mesh into Fluent.
      Kind regards Alex.

OK, it's the site acting up - I couldn't see the first image.
That looks fine. What boundaries have you got between fluid-3 and the balls/rods?

      These are boundaries I got:
wall-cells and wall-fluid3_dielectric overlap where the balls/rods are.
as you can see the only fluid-solid walls detected are for fluid_2_air_inside

Can you display the interiors (internal) to confirm you've not got overlapping geometry.

Sorry by overlap I meant that both wall-cells and wall-fluid3_dielectric have the outline of the "cells".
      wall-cells
      wall-fluid3_dielectric
is it just easier if I share the geometry?

Hi Rob I managed to resolve the issues by re-building the original CAD. Thanks for picking this up.
      Kind regards Alex.

We're not allowed to take models, it's one of the rules to keep us out of trouble with the Export Laws. Our commercial clients have all been approved so we can take models etc.
If you take the view (last image) please plot the interior zones (all of them) with all edges on. I'm wanting to check you've got a connected mesh rather than overlays because of the order you split zones.
