Multiblock structured meshing in ICEM CFD

      Hello everyone,
I am trying to create an airfoil mesh (multiblock and structured) in ICEM CFD with somewhat unconventional target spacings. Specifically, I need the streamwise spacing (dx) on the upper surface like the followings:

      • constant spacing between x/c=0.1 and x/c=0.2,
      • increase spacings linearly up to x/c=0.2 to x/c=0.6
      • constant spacing again between x/c=0.6 and x/c=1.0.

I understand that this can be easily achieved by splitting the blocks (block -1 in the figure), but my question is: are there any alternatives I can try without splitting the blocks? Thank you!

      Hello,

If you need hexahedral mesh without using blocking, I would suggest you to use Ansys/Workbench Meshing which can do the work.
