Hello there,

I tried to install particle_freeze_outside_region and sph_freeze_ouside_region modules to my Ansys Rocky, I moved them to Documents/Rocky/Modules, but when I restart Rocky and check the module section, I could not find those two modules.

If so, please check if the modules version is compatible with your Ansys Rocky version.

Hello Lucas,

I tried to ask our IT service to download the 25.1.2 version but there is only 202x.Rx downloads but not specific versions. And I tried to uninstall and install using the 2025 R1 installer, my Rocky was still 25.1.0.

Are the modules: "particle_freeze_outside_region", "particle_freeze_when_settled", and" sph_freeze_outside_region" backwards compatiable? Can I just change the folder name to 25.1.0 and use them?

Yes, you could try, but there's no guarantee that it will work.

 

Ideally, you should uninstall the products, delete the v251 folder and install again with the automated installer. This way you will get Ansys Rocky 2025 R1.2.

Then download the module package (25.1.2).
