modeling multiple media in the wave equation model

      Hello,

Impedance boundary conditions are not yet available with the Acoustics Wave Equation model. The AWE assumes that all walls are considered acoustically hard, which ideally reflects sound. Hence, it will not work for your case.

Thank you for answering my question.

Do you have any idea to calcuate the sound propagating in the steel and cement region? Like add a user defined function to ansys or something.

I believe your best bet would be to couple the Fluent side with Mechanical Acoustics. You can find some examples of the range of applications here: How to setup acoustic simulations in Mechanical ? - Ansys Knowledge

If you do pursue this route, I would invite you to post a new thread in the Mechanical feeds

      Federico,

Thank you so much for the suggestion. It is exactly what I want to do and I will try to do that. If you could invite me the thread, I would be really happy.

I have one more questions for the coupling. Is this a one way coupling?
