SubscriberI have been trying to set up an F1 car model for a research project but it has many errors that have been a hassle to get rid of, I need a 2019, 2020, or 2021 F1 car model and a 2022 if anyone has one that has worked with Ansys or another CFD program. The ones I have found are filled with errors as they are not tuned for Ansys. Or, is there any way to quickly rid of all the bad faces without going one by one through the model? If not, some new models would be amazing! I have tried deleting the faces and using the gap tool to fix it but it takes too long as it only goes one face at a time, is there any way to delete and gap all at once? Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeWhat is the format of F1 car you have? Is it CAD or faceted data? How complex it is? Is it simplified or has many components?Â
You can check Fluent Meshing fault tolerant workflow to mesh such geometries.Â

Please go through help manual for more detailsÂ

SubscriberIt is a faceted model that is complex but is all one solid part, I found a 2019 and am working on going through the watertight workflow right now, the issue I currently have is it is saying it has too many cells for the student software. I will continue to try and find better models as I believe that is the only solution. What should I do about the too many cells error though?

Ansys EmployeeYou can generate upto 1M cells with student license.Â
To generate coarse mesh (i.e. to reduce cell count) you will need to use coarse mesh sizing. Please incrase mesh sizing.Â
