Dear all,nI'm not able to run thermal or electric simulations on surface bodies. I have a simple geometry (cube), apply the midsurface, assign the thickness, mesh - all good. After I try to simulate, I get the: nThe analysis is not valid with the current geometry.nWhat am I doing wrong?nBest,nGeorgenn

Note that 3D shell bodies and line bodies are not supported in a thermal-electric analysis. Please check the link below for the same:nhttps://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v211/en/wb_sim/ds_therm_elec_analysis_type.html n-AniketnHow to access Ansys help linksnGuidelines for Posting on Ansys Learning Forumn

Thanks for the answer.nWhat is therefore the right approach in modelling heat transfer and/or electric current in a thin layer? nIs it possible to design a thin solid body and force a single layer of cells during meshing?nAny suggestion would be highly appreciated.n

I think this should be doable with thin sweep https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v211/en/wb_msh/msh_specialized_thin_model_sweep.html n-AniketnHow to access Ansys help linksnGuidelines for Posting on Ansys Learning Forumn
