I am trying to use midsurface instead of solid body in thermal analysis and even though I have assigned thermal properties but the temperature is not at all reducing whereas when I am using solid bodies, the temperature gets reduced as required.
Is there any setting to be turned ON or OFF for using midsurface in thermal analysis?

Please show all boundary conditions on the solid faces and on the midsurface faces and edges.
Please show the mesh on the solid and midsurface models.
Please show the temperature profile through the thickness of the solid body.

If you can guide regarding this?
Thanks in advance.

Â
Mesh for midsurface case 1
Boundary conditions:Â
Result: It can be seen there is hardly any difference in temperature profile when midsurface is created
Â
Case 2: All solidÂ
Boundary condition
result: It can be seen that here temperature is changing according to properties of materials
Note: mesh in both the cases are set to automatic settings.
