SubscriberDear Ansys,
We are trying to simulate a 2D plain microchannel heat sink model with water as fluid. We wish to model body force driven periodic flow confined within solid wall with constant heat flux given top of the wall. Periodic inlet section is having constant fluid temperature to cool down the liquid. Kindly provide technical support for modelling this system. -

Forum ModeratorThere are a few limitations when looking at thermal periodic models, not least how heat can be added to the domain. Please post an image of what you're trying to model.Â

Forum ModeratorIf the walls are thin (ie not a solid zone) that should work.  https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v241/en/flu_ug/flu_ug_sec_periodic_hxfer.html You may need to click on Help in the solver then paste the link into the browser that opens.Â
