SubscriberHi everyone,
I'm currently working on a numerical simulation of a composite hollow square beam undergoing three-point bending. I made the solid model in ACP and used static structural for the flexural test simulation. I applied the boundary conditions as shown in the figure. and the deformation results formed a "dimple" at the centre. Could anyone please explain whether this method is wrong for a 3-point bending test simulation? Also, why does this "dimple" formation occur ?
