Meshing issues

I am trying to mesh my step file and have never had issues with the boundary nodes connecting until now.  I am using the same mesh size as before but for some reason the nodes at the boundary of the parts are not lning up.  I am using auto mesh (size based), mixed mesh elements, and have tried selecting connect boundary nodes and not. I have also tried meshing the parts in the opposite order.  I did not have any issues with thos before.

are you using lsprepost?   I would suggest looking into a different preprocessor.   Lining up mesh and node merging is a ton easier inside workbench ls-dyna which is borrowing the mesher from Ansys.    you can do shared topology in Ansys's geometry tool or direct node move/merge in the preprocessor.
