Hi,
I loaded a surface mesh into fluent using the size field file and the corresponding geometry. Later I tried to generate a volume mesh using the auto-mesh option. But I am getting the following error:
"0 : edge bn319151-bn329185 intersects face bf651012"Â
I am able to generate prism layers but not the volume mesh.
Are there any options in fluent to identify this edge and the face?
What might be the potential cause of this error? Has it got something to do with the geometry or something else?
Can someone please help me?
I have also attached a screenshot of the error.

In the top menus look under Display > Grid & use the bounds part of the panel. You'll need to display surfaces & limit the area/volume displayed by a bound & the node/face of interest. Luckily that's displayed in the error.Â

Thank you very much for a quick reply. I don't know what values I am supposed enter under max and min of x,y and z respectively.

Â
I entered the values of:
 x_min =1214.843791    y_min = 389.759237  z_min = 54.690011.
But I don't whether I have entered the values correctly. I also don't know what to enter for "x_max," 'y_max," "z_max," "Selection" and '"+/- Delta" under Neighborhood.

Can you please help me regarding this?

Stick the node/facet ID into selection & pick a sensible delta. Then press "set ranges". Should give you a sphere around the point of interest.Â
