SubscriberHello
Â
I have problem with generating mesh for my STL model. Basically, I have loaded it into SpaceClaim and then used the Shell function to fill the empty gaps between the inner and outer wall surface.
I have then imported it into ANSYS and tried to mesh trying different options, but I always get the error
"The mesh generation did not complete due to poor quality elements or incorrect input. Please try meshing with another mesh method or different mesh options."
I have attached the model I am trying to work on.
I am very new to ANSYS and I would be grateful for any help.

Forum ModeratorIt looks like some of the edges are very faceted, so when the Ansys tools try and mesh it'll cause very skew elements. Can you trim and tidy the stl ? Â

Ansys EmployeeCan you post image of geometry after you used shell?
Please insert image of geometry and not of facet.Â

Forum ModeratorSlice or split to remove part of the model. It depends what the stl is of and it's source.Â
