Mesh generation

  I have problems with SpaceClain when I try to generate a mesh. My classmates inserted the same data as I did and they had no problems. How could I fix this problem?

  Is this question related to the spaceclaim? Are you using SpaceClaim or Ansys Mechanical to execute the meshing operation? Please tell me. It seems like, Ansys Mechanical GUI.

      Thanks for your patience.
      It's strange, and it should not be. Are you facing this issue with other models as well? Do you have the same version as your friend?
      I am assuming that you have entered the same value and the same mesh setting as your friend has.
      You can do one thing: save the failed mesh as an archived file, open the same file in your friend system, and then perform the meshing operation there. Let me know if you are able to perform it or not.

      Hi Sampat,
      What I did was that the model of a colleague that did work I opened it with my program and it didn't let me generate the mesh, I got the same message that I showed the other day.

      Hi Teresa,
      It sometimes depends on the system and verison; the number of elements might be different for the same model in a different verison and different system, but not too much.
      Are you able to run other models on your system?
      Will you please clear the %appdata% and %temp%? For doing that, type %appdata% in the search window, then open the appdata folder. Rename the Ansys folder to Ansys.old, and then for clearing the temp data, write %temp% in the search window, open the folder, and rename.ansys to.ansys.old.

  You can use selective meshing to check that which part is failing? you can check selective meshing tutorial on you tube, type the keyword "Seelctive meshing in Ansys" and perform this.
  Are you able to perform the mesh operation when you change the mesh setting or mesh type?
