SubscriberI am using 24GB CORE I3 pc. I am simulating a hollow cylinder having cross beams. The model is 30 mm in diameter. 0.1 mm mesh size, static structural using workbench mechanical APDL IS giving me memory errors.

SubscriberDo you get memory errors if you use 1 mm mesh size?

SubscriberI have another PC OF 32 GB RAM having gtx 1050. But gtx1050 is incompatible with ANSYS and when i change to iterative from direct in solver output then it automatically selects direct solver when i see solver output.

SubscriberNo, ANSYS 19.2 will have the same issue. It will be best if you can install more memory in the computer. Even if you do, there will just be a higher limit. You have to learn to make a mesh that is coarse where the gradient and stress is low, and have a fine mesh where the gradient and stress is high. That is what some of the Mesh Controls such as Body Sizing - Sphere of Influence allows you to do. You have to put a coordinate system at the location of high stress.
