SubscriberGood afternoon, everyone.
This is my first time posting here, and I’m seeking guidance on how to accurately simulate a steel sheet metal plate. The plate is made of Grade 250 steel and has approximate dimensions of 1.5 m (W) × 1.6 m (L) × 3 mm (thickness).
The plate is bolted to a supporting frame using 15 bolts. A load is then applied normal to the surface of the plate through a pin. My goal is to evaluate the deformation (displacement) of the plate under different applied force levels.
I would greatly appreciate any advice on the recommended workflow or steps to correctly set up and run this simulation.

SubscriberI suggest creating Midsurfaces from the solid bodies using SpaceClaim or Discovery. You will want to add holes in the frame beams under each hole in the plate then use Fixed Joints to connect them. This video shows that:
