SubscriberHello everyone! I need an urgent help! I am doing a structural analysis for an arm mechanism with bucket. I made a very simple model. I connected the structure by 3 revolute joints to ground first at the top holes. Then all other joints are revolute (body-body). When I apply a remote force into the bucket, joint forces do not make any sense. there are lateral forces even on two force members. As I check, my connections are correct. All the parts are rigid.
Is there anyone who has an idea for this problem? You can see my basic model in the photo.

Forum ModeratornnLooking at the snapshots it looks that there are no applied forces in lateral direction. Just a test- you can apply fixed support at one of the joint location (or a fixed body-ground joint) and then check the reaction. Also I see a warning for rigid body motion. Is this motion in lateral direction?.Regards,nAshish KhemkanSeptember 9, 2020 at 10:06 ampeteroznewman
