Hello, I'm student of university of technology and we are learning basics of ansys mechanical. When I've tried to install it on my home pc, ADSL launcher, which we use in lecutres won't start up and in output log I find two warning lines. I updated my graphic drivers two days ago, my pc has 8 Gb of RAM, ansys won't even use 30% when launched, I'm using windows 10 home and of course I'm permanently connected to internet. I'm sending you a snapshot of my screen so you can see the error message. Thank you in advance for any ideas

I'm guessing it's because of your username in the path to your project , which contains non-English letter.

Can you try using your project in C:Temp and make sure you set working directory to be C:Temp as well ?

It still keeps showing me the same error as before.

what if you do this.

Open CMD Prompt, then issue the following commands:

set PATH=C:WINDOWSsystem32;C:WINDOWS;C:WINDOWSSystem32Wbem

"%AWP_ROOT195%ANSYSbinwinx64launcher.exe"

In the Launcher window, select High Performance Computing setup -> Use Shared Memory Parallel (SMP) - Number of processes 1

Do you still see the issue ?

If so, in CMD Prompt type

set

and post the output of it here.

Also, can you try creating a test user account that contains only English letters or numbers ?

Here is a screenshot of a fresh new user named with only english letters after I've tried all steps in your post.

I even renamed my PC name to English letters only and the error keeps showing up

Can you post the screenshot of the 'set' command when you are logging in with the new/test username ?

This seems like a local admin account ? 

Can you create a test user account with different name ?

Try these again with this certain user account

Do you have any .err file under C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Student  folder ?

If so, please post the content of it.

If not, can you try changing your default systems language to be English ?
