SubscriberHie everyone. I am using Fluent in simulating a discrete phase model with a surface where particles are deposited. I would like to measure the adhesion forces including the van Der Waals forces and Capillary forces. However, I am not sure on how to do it. Please assist.

Forum ModeratorThere aren't any built in models for how sticky a wall is, the base boundary conditions are covered here https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v241/en/flu_ug/flu_ug_sec_discrete_bc.html Â
Depending on what you're trying to do Ansys Rocky has adhesion models, but you'd need to set the adhesion forces and then use the solver to work out whether particles detach for the flow conditions that you provide from Fluent via the coupling functions.Â
