Material with two elastic moduli, one for compression and one for tension.

      Hello,

I have searched for this topic, and unfortunately there seems to be a policy where old forum entries are deleted so we have to keep repeating the discussion.

There is an answer at this link but every single reference the first responder posted (5 out of 5) is 404'd.  Does anyone know where I can find some guidance on how to implement a solution to this requirement?

      Thank you!

I cannot open these links either.  With regards to the specific technical question, materials that have a different elastic modulus in tension and compression are usually a nonmetalic elastomer of some kind.  I would recommend a hyperelastic material option.  Neo-Hookean is the simplest to implement.  Please refer to Section 4.6 of the MAPDL Material Reference guide for more details.
