[Material Designer] Homogenized Properties of a Sheet?

      Hello,

Can the Material Designer module be used to find the homogenized properties of an imported RVE that patterns in X and Y directions, but not in Z?  For example, a single layer corrugated sheet.

      Thanks for your help.

The Material Designer Docs do not list corrugated sheet as an RVE model type option, in particular.  However, there is a "honeycomb" option - described as consisting of cells with hexagonal shape repeated in two dimensions.  Would that work?  See Section 2.1.8 of the Material Designer User's Guide.

Hi John.  No, this would not work.  A honeycomb RVE is a valid pattern in 3 axes.  A corrugated sheet, only two.  There is an option for woven composites, so theoretically Material Designer knows how to handle repeating in two dimensions - I just haven't found a way to toggle this ability with a user-defined RVE.
