SubscriberHi everyone,
I am actually trying to map the HTC generated from a fluent model into a steady-state thermal. However, after importing it, the HTC imported on surfaces is zero. I guess this is because I am missing adjusting the intervals on fluent since the source time steps do not appear in steady-state. I do appreciate your help.
Please see the attached pics for better explanation.

AdministratorHello,nCan you show how you are exporting the data from Fluent and reading into Steady State Thermal? Are you using an External Data Transfer?nKarthiknFebruary 5, 2021 at 2:06 pmFebruary 5, 2021 at 10:08 pmStephen Orlando
Ansys Employeeyou can simplify the simulation by modelling the fluid and solid in Fluent. Is that not possible in your case? What is the end goal? To determine temperature in the solid or stress in the solid? or both?nFebruary 6, 2021 at 1:41 amAhmedAbdelrahman
Subscriberthanks for your reply. I am actually modeling two different fluids, water (stationary) and air (rotating) inside an electric motor. I tried to simulate both on the same fluid model but it did not work out. Therefore, I have to simulate each one individually and combine them together using the steady-state thermal by importing the Heat transfer coefficients from both models separately. nViewing 4 reply threads- The topic ‘Mapping Data From Fluent to Steady-State Thermal’ is closed to new replies.
