Magnetic field interaction with wall rotation

      Hi,

I would like to now if it's possible to set magnet field in DOF of fluent to interact with magnetic wall.  This magnetic field is responsible for rotate a rotor that is set as wall in fluent. The flow of fluid is responsible for increse the rotation and  temperature of this wall. Also, the magnetic properties of the wall material change accordingly with the its temperature. So, at first, the inputs of my model are the inlet velocity and temperature, outlet pressure of the flow and the magnetic field that is interacting with the wall which generates rotates.  Anyone here could tell me if it's possible to simulate this in fluent?

      Thank you in advance

To set up a magnetic field in Ansys Fluent that interacts with a magnetic wall and influences the rotation of a rotor, you can apply an external magnetic field by entering values for the B0 components in the External Field B0 tab. This is part of the Electric Potential Method in Ansys Fluent's Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) model. For detailed instructions on applying an external magnetic field, you can refer to the guidelines provided in the Ansys Fluent User Guide : Chapter 32: Modeling Magnetohydrodynamics

Hello Lucas B. Thank you for answering me.

I have already learnt how to apply external magnetic field but my problem is now about the magnetic properties of wall material that changes with temperature. Accordingly with User-Guide, the magnetic permeability only can be constant and it is a problem because it vary with temperature. however, it appeared to be used in only Magnetic Induction method. In Eletric Potential method is used eletricial conductivity as parameter ( I think, accordingly with user-guide). This parameter I can define it with temperature.

My question is: Do the both methods give the same result? Using Eletric Potential method, the magnetic permeability of the material will not be used but eletricial conductivity as a eletromagnetic parameter? I'm asking this because the Magnetic Induction method is what I need but this constant permeability is troubling me.

Second: Is possible to define the thermal parameter Cp ( heat capacity at constant pressure) with temperature and magnetic field? Can I import a table with parameters : Density, Cp.... as colunm and respective values as rows?
