SubscriberI've been asked to look into getting Lumerical up and running on our local cluster (Lumerical v212 on CentOS 7.6) and I'm seeing my initial tests fail very quickly.
I started with the cpi-mpich2nem test first, and the following works correctly from the command line:
/usr/shared_apps/packages/lumerical/v212/mpich2/nemesis/bin/mpiexec -n 4 /usr/shared_apps/packages/lumerical/v212/mpitest/cpi-mpich2nem
I then proceed to try fdtd-engine using what I think is the right syntax based on the examples at Running simulations using terminal in Linux – Lumerical Support :
/usr/shared_apps/packages/lumerical/v212/mpich2/nemesis/bin/mpiexec -n 1 /usr/shared_apps/packages/lumerical/v212/bin/fdtd-engine-mpich2nem -t 1 /storage/hpc/54/pacey/lumerical/Lumerical_Test_RM.fsp
The command returns very quickly with the error message:
APPLICATION TERMINATED WITH THE EXIT STRING: Hangup (signal 1)
There's no other output on the screen, and no new files created in that directory. Can anyone advise how I can troubleshoot this?

Ansys EmployeeWhich version of Lumerical 2021 R2 are you using on the cluster? Send the output of the command below.
/usr/shared_apps/packages/lumerical/v212/bin/fdtd-engine-mpich2nem -v

SubscriberHi Lito Running that command produces no output - not even an error message.
I'm wondering if this is the same information reported at the top of the launcher window? That states "Ansys Lumerical 2021 R2.3"

Ansys EmployeeThere is a known issue with R2.3 on Linux when running with out a GUI connection or X forwarding. This issue should be fix in an upcoming release. Can you try to download and use R2.2 using the link, Lumerical-2021-R2.2-2806-df9013d.tar.gz (expires Nov 04 2021 17:34UTC):https://go.lumeri.ca/64dcr. Otherwise, for R2.3 run the simulation job from the FDTD CAD/GUI if you allow running the GUI in the cluster.

SubscriberHi Lito I've replaced the R2.3 install with R2.2 and this looks to be running fine
