I am running an example from the official website (https://optics.ansys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042328674-PN-depletion-phase-shifter) , but I encountered the following issue. My software version is 2022:
1.The program terminated due to an error: No contacts were found in the simulation region
2.Error: there was an unknown parallel error. The error code is 9011, the process number is 0Could you please advise on how to resolve this?

Please update to the newest version.
the error message 1 indicats that there is a or more metal objects that is not associated as contact with given voltage. All metals in CHARGE have to be a contact-type with set voltage.
the error message 2 is more general, indicates there is something wrong. it can be due to many different causes. In your current case, it might be due to error #1.
Once number 1 is resolved, and error 2 still shows, you can search online "there was an unknown parallel error. The error code is 9011, the process number is 0" in this forum, or in Ansys Optics. You can also refer to this article:Â
