lspp single precision to double precision help

      Hi,
      I am using ls-prepost V:4.6.22 and need double precision for a project I am doing. I see options for downloading a newer version that uses double precision but am wondering if this is a paid application or if there is a free download that I can add-on to my current version (V4.6.22). This is the only time I will need double precision and would rather not pay for the software if I don't need to.
      Reasoning: When running my project I receive the following error message:
      Error 60022 (IMP+22)
           LS-DYNA Implicit is not supported in single precision.
           Please switch to DOUBLE Precision (I8R8) version.

      Thank you!

      Hello,

      LS-PrePost is free and you can download the latest version here:

      https://ftp.lstc.com/anonymous/outgoing/lsprepost/4.9/

      But, the error message that you are getting has nothing to do with LS-PrePost. You need need a double precision LS-DYNA solver to run implicit. You can download double precision solvers (any revision, but the latest is R13.1) here:

      https://lstc.com/downloader/page.html

      Let me know how it goes.

      Hi, thanks for the help! This solved that problem but I now have an error saying the license can not be found. I tried to make sure everything is in the same path so I am unsure what to do next.

      Please see the below image:

      Hello,

      You don't need to have everything in the same path. You can have your model somewhere and all your LS-DYNA solvers in a different location.

      Have you specified the license server information in the license menu in LS-RUN?

      If so, you should be able to see the licenses when clicking on the License Info tab.

      Is this the first time you use LS-RUN?

      Reno.

      Hi, sorry for a late reply. I have decided to use my school grid to prevent taking longer for this project. I have worked out the licensing and am now getting error 60105:

      *** Error 60105 (IMP+105)
           **************************************************
           *                 -  ERROR  -                    *
           *         Error code       2 returned from       *
           *    Sparse Iterative Linear equation solver.    *
           **************************************************

      I am also seeing an alert saying to change my memory setting to 1M, which I assume is in my jobfile. I changed this and am still getting the same alert and error.

      Thanks!

      Hello,

      Can you start a new  post for the above error? It is not related to LSPP and I am not sure what is causing it.

      Thanks.

      Reno.
