Hello!

Im not able to run ls dyna. when im solving a .k file in LS-Run, the status would be Waiting (ls dyna not yet started) and after few seconds it will show terminated.

I wanted to know whats the reason for this and how to fix this. Your help would be appreciated.

Hello,

There might be an error upon intiliazation of the model. Please toggle to start LS-DYNA in command prompt (see below), and LS-DYNA will start in the cmd. You will be able to see if there is an error upon initialization of the solver.

The name of the file has a white space in it. Please try renaming it to e.g., Ball_Impact.k.

Hello, 

Now that's a different error, suggesting that there is not a license server on your machine. How is your LS-DYNA licensed? Are you using a student version of Ansys Workbench? If you are a customer please submit a ticket to support.ansys.com and a support engineer will help you solve this issue.

Hi!

I Changed my license type in LS Run and it is working fine now! License type was set to LSTC and upon changing it to Ansys Flexnet, i was able to run it.
