Forum ModeratorPlease try changing the License Type to "Node locked" and then browse to the license at C:\Program Files\ANSYS 2020R2 LS-DYNA Student 12.0.0\Shared Files\Licensing\student.lic. Please try running again.

Forum ModeratorPlease look at the lsrun.out.txt file which should be created. Can you share the complete contents?

Forum ModeratorLooking again, it appears the license you have has expired. Can you please download the latest copy of LS Dyna Student and install it? It will include the updated license file.

The version is the currently available download:
We are planning to use the software for a student lesson this Friday. Could you provide us a new license file via E-Mail?

Forum ModeratorPlease try uninstalling, deleting C:\Program Files\ANSYS 2020R2 LS-DYNA Student 12.0.0, then download a fresh copy from the download page. This should include the new license file, which may not be updating automatically with just installing over the top of a previous install.

SubscriberThank you very much for the quick and helpful reply Unfortunately the current download from
(https://ansys13.ansys.com/release2020R2/ANSYS_2020R2_LS-DYNA_Student_12.0.0.msi?_auth_=1628707120_e53f6c80da8f9de37c99fb610a2a28e3)
doesn't work with uninstalling, deleting the installation directory and new installation:
The license file you provided me via email does work though
