Hello,Â
Â
I am trying to show beam strains and stresses in LS-DYNA but it does not show any values. However, it shows forces for these elements.
or what are the steps i should follow to record and read stress and strain for beam?
Thanks

Use an integrated beam formulation, e.g. the type 1 beam, and set BEAMIP and STRFLG in DATABASE_EXTENT_BINARY

Actually, to get axial strains, set BEAMIP to the number of integration points for the section. Then, after running the model, read d3plot into LS-PrePost and click  History > Int.Pt. > Etype: Beams > (click on any beam element) > Axial Strain > Plot.
