Hello,in lsdyna softwar. I have two parts made of different materials. But they are connected, I made each of the materials separately. But I want to connect these two together. how can i do?

Hello, Jim day,
can you send me a video so I can learn how to apply it?

Hi Jim
One of my parts is shell and the other is solid. Can I still use CONTACT_TIED_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE?

October 12, 2022 at 4:32 pmJim DayAnsys EmployeeDepending on your geometry, that may still work fine. It won't consider the rotational DOF of the shell nodes however. Alternatively, you could try *CONSTRAINED_TIED_SHELL_EDGE_TO_SURFACE_CONSTRAINED_OFFSET. Try these contact types and report back if the contact doesn't appear to be working.
