Ansys EmployeeThe material data in the Ansys samples are generally from engineering textbooks.nUsers are strongly encouraged to obtain and validate their own material properties from their material supplier.nA recommended reference site for material data is matweb.comn -

Ansys EmployeeHi, if you use the Neoprene Rubber material data from Ansys Granta EduPack or Ansys Granta Selector, data are well referenced. As Gary said it is mainly textbooks, but data come also sometimes from suppliers or from websites.nn

SubscriberNeoprene is a petrochemical substance, which means that it is made from petroleum in a factory. Polychloroprene is made with a process called free radical emulsion polymerization, which turns natural chloroprene into synthetic polychloroprene. territorial io
